Jimmy Gilford

Jimmy Gilford – Serves as Chaplain and Advisor of Spiritual Growth for East Coast Sox.

Jimmy Gilford is the MSU Fellowship of Christian athletes representative.   Coach Gilford works mainly with baseball as well as other sports on campus.   He also covers 3 counties of high school in the Starkville, MS area.   Coach Gilford served as strength and conditioning coach for baseball and tennis while getting his masters at MSU.

Coach Gilford was a standout outfielder at Belhaven University where he finished in 2011.  While at Belhaven, Coach Gilford was named to the GCAC All-Conference and Gold Glove team.  In 2010, Coach Gilford hit .351 with 7 HRs, 6 3B, 10 2B, and 49 RBIs.  Coach Gilford was up for the 2011 Cellular South Ferriss Trophy, which is awarded annually to Mississippi’s top college baseball player.

Coach Gilford is a gifted speaker and has a passion for building disciples in the kingdom.
