John Gibson is entering his1st season coaching with the East Coast Sox

Coach Gibson, a seasoned baseball coach with 27 years of experience, embarks on his first year as a coach with East Coast Sox. Before his transition to ECS, he dedicated 15 years to high school coaching in Tennessee and Alabama, primarily at Hewitt-Trussville. After a call to the ministry, he serves as the Executive Director of Serving You Ministries since 2013.

John holds a Master of Science and Education Specialist degree in Leadership from the University of Alabama. His previous roles included teaching and coaching baseball and football for the Trussville City School System. Collegiately, he played college football and baseball at Campbellsville University in Kentucky.

In his personal life, John is married to Mary, and they have four children: Kenley, Katie Ann, Molly, and Drew, as well as a son-in-law named Thomas.

John’s favorite verse is John 3:30, which reads, “He must increase, and I must decrease.”
