2025 JD Whitworth- Belmont University
BASEBALL SEASON IS HERE!!!! AMEN!
One of the things we do that truly makes a difference in keeping your son in the limelight of college coaches and professional scouts is tweeting out outstanding game performances. We regularly have college coaches reach out to us after seeing these posts on X (Twitter).
We all love to brag about our kids, this is your chance to let us brag for you!
We are excited about the spring season and look forward to watching our players excel with their high school teams. We will also tweet JV and middle school performances; however, you must include “in their JV game” or “in their middle school game” in the tweet. If the performance is at the high school level, this is not necessary. College coaches want to know when a performance is not from a high school game.
If you or your son has an outstanding game such as:
- Multiple hits and/or RBIs in one game
- Home run(s)
- An outstanding pitching performance (win or loss)
Please email us using the format below so we can copy and paste directly to the X (Twitter) account.
FORMAT
Graduation Year Player Name (High School, State) went/threw "Outstanding Stats"
Please capitalize all proper names.
*Not every email received will result in a tweet, as we only share content when it is believed to offer a recruiting advantage.
Examples:
2013 Brent Rooker (Evangelical Christian HS, TN) went 3-5 w/ 5 RBIs, 2B & HR in their win (or loss if applicable).
2021 Maddux Bruns (UMS-Wright HS, AL) threw 5 innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 earned run with 7 Ks in their win (or loss if applicable).
JV OR MIDDLE SCHOOL EXAMPLES:
2022 Greg Sykes (Collierville Middle School, TN) went 2-4 w/ 2 RBIs & a 2B in their middle school win (or loss).
2024 Mark Willoughby (Hammond HS, LA) threw 4 innings, allowing 4 hits and 0 earned runs with 5 Ks in their JV win (or loss if applicable).
VIDEOS
We love posting videos, but to upload on X, the file must be MP4. While X supports both MP4 and MOV on mobile apps, it only supports MP4 on web posts, and we post from our computers.
Please note: X has a 140-character limit, so abbreviate whenever possible (2B for double, HR for home run, etc.).
For quick and efficient posting, please email all tweet submissions within 24 hours of the game to:
msykes@eastcoastbaseball.org
Important reminders:
- Please compose a new email each time (do not reply to an existing email chain), as tweets can get lost in long threads.
If you do not already follow us on X, please do so at @eastcoastbball. This allows you to follow other players and retweet your son’s posts.
Finally, if you do NOT want your video posted to X, please include “DO NOT POST” in the subject line. Our directors still enjoy seeing our players succeed in the spring, and videos help us stay connected.
Good luck this season, we hope you have a blessed spring,
East Coast Baseball Directors
