Coach Josh Hudson is entering his 2nd season with the East Coast Sox.
Josh Hudson is from Columbus, GA where he played for High School Hall of Fame coach Bobby Howard at Columbus High School. During his four year career at CHS, Hudson won three consecutive state titles (94-96). In 1996 Hudson received a scholarship to play baseball for the University of Florida. After catching and playing in the outfield as a freshman at UF, Hudson transferred to the University of Georgia to get back on the infield for the remainder of his college career.
While at UGA Hudson received ALL-SEC honors in 1999 finishing second in the SEC in batting average. Hudson also set and still holds the UGA record for the longest consecutive game hitting streak at 28 games. Hudson is currently a community coach at St Anne Pacelli High School in Columbus, GA. Josh lives in Smiths Station, AL with his beautiful wife Heather, son Braden, and daughter Bella.
I am excited to be back with the Sox for my second summer. I had an opportunity to meet and work alongside some amazing coaches and players in the summer of 2023. There were many great moments last summer, but I must say the opportunity to coach the National team to the championship in Millington, TN and defeating EBC Mungle was the highlight of my summer.
After working with this great organization and having an amazing summer in 2023, I am pumped to see how GOD uses the East Coast Sox to grow His kingdom. I don’t believe in coincidence. I only believe in devine appointments. So my prayers for 2024 is that I inform these players of the importance of having Jesus Christ as your guide as they travel down this challenging road of baseball, and allow GOD to use my knowledge, gifts, and talents to communicate effectively the love of Jesus Christ.
