Coach Evan Miller is returning for his 2nd season as an East Coast Sox coach.
Evan Miller, a native of northwest Indiana, enters his first season as an assistant coach for Snead State Baseball.
As a former pitcher with experience playing at the Division I collegiate level and in the minor league, Miller brings an abundance of knowledge to mentor Snead State's players and help them achieve their goals.
After a standout freshman season at Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2015, Miller was drafted in the 22nd round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres. He led the Summit League in strikeouts (94) and was voted to the All-Summit League Second Team.
He spent seven years as a pitcher in the San Diego Padres organization (2016-2022) with more than two years of AAA experience. In 2019, he was named a California League All-Star and was also part of the Texas League Championship team. In 2022, he was part of the PCL East Division Championship team.
In addition to his coaching duties at Snead State, Miller also serves as head coach of the East Coast Sox 14U Elite Team.
Miller and his wife, Emma, currently reside in Rainbow City, Alabama.
