David Langston
David Langston – Serves as 16u Head Coach
Coach David Langston grew up in Jasper, AL and attended Curry HS where he was a 2 year starter and team captain. Coach Langston went on to play baseball at Shoals Community College and Birmingham Southern College. Currently, Coach Langston is the head baseball coach at Bob Jones High School. Coach Langston is entering his 16th season as a head baseball coach.
Coach Langston started his coaching career at Minor High School in 1996. At Minor HS, Coach Langston won 2 Area Championships. After a short stint in HS, Coach Langston accepted a position as assistant coach at Jefferson State Community College where he served from 1998 to 2000. In 2001, Coach Langston became the head coach at Northwest-Shoals Community College where he served for 10 years. At Northwest-Shoals CC, he won 5 conference championships, 2 Regional Coach of the Year awards, 10 appearances in the regional tournament while winning at least 30 games each year and surpassing 40 wins six seasons.
When Northwest Shoals Community College discontinued its athletic program in 2011 Coach Langston moved to Muscle Shoals High School and turned the program around, leading them to a 23-14 record and their first playoff berth since 2009.coached at Muscle Shoals High School for two seasons where he led Muscle Shoals HS to the Class 5A state playoffs in 2012 and 2013 after winning Area 16 for two years.
