Coach Freddy Jones is enterning his 2nd season coaching with the East Coast Sox. 

Freddy grew up in Denton, TX and attended Denton High school. He played first base in high school and graduated in 1997 and went on to play at Brown Mackie Community College. There he started and played first base for his two years. He also had one of the top batting averages, led the teams in home runs, led the team in RBI’s and one of the top guys in extra base hits.

After that he transferred to Hendrix College where he played first, caught and played right field. He continued to be one of the top guys in average, home runs, RBI’s and extra base hits.

Freddy started student coaching after his last season with Hendrix. He then picked up coaching again when his son was 4 and began playing baseball. After a few years of coaching league ball he started coaching travel ball with Field House of Conway, AR. He has been coaching ever since.

He is married to Kelly Jones, and they have a 16-year-old son and an 18-year-old daughter. He loves to work with kids and help them get to the next level.
