Coach Pete Giangrosso will start his first summer as a coach for the East Coast Sox.

Coach Giangrosso is a native of Birmingham, AL, and grew up in Alexander City, AL where he graduated from Benjamin Russell High School. Coach Giangrosso continued his education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and played baseball for the Blazers for four years. At UAB, he earned a bachelor’s degree majoring in History and minoring in Political Science as well as a Master’s degree in Social Science Education.

Coach Giangrosso began his teaching career at Hewitt Trussville Middle School in 2004. He came to Mountain Brook High School in 2006 and is currently teaching AP Comparative Government and Politics, AP United States History, and United States History from 1877 to the present. He also coaches freshman football and varsity baseball for the Spartans. Pete and his wife Jaime have two children Emily and Tripp.
