Xavier Phillips is entering his 1st season with the East Coast Sox.

Zavier Phillips – Recruiting Coordinator & Defensive Coach

Zavier Phillips is a dedicated and experienced baseball coach with a passion for player development, recruitment, and building championship-caliber programs. A native of Loango, Alabama, he began his journey at Opp High School before continuing his education at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College. He is currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management at Troy University.

At just 18 years old, Zavier Phillips launched his coaching career at Greenville High School, where he played a pivotal role in leading the baseball team to its first playoff appearance in 15 years. He later continued his coaching career at Brantley High School, further honing his skills in player development and strategy.

Now serving as the Recruiting Coordinator and Defensive Coach at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Andalusia, Alabama, Zavier Phillips works under Hall of Fame Coach Steve Helms. His expertise in scouting, player development, and defensive strategy has been instrumental in shaping the program’s success.

With a strong commitment to excellence on and off the field, Zavier Phillips is dedicated to mentoring athletes, fostering a winning culture, and helping players reach their full potential at the collegiate level and beyond.
